I'm Abby, a slightly-granola Californian who found herself in one of the best kitchens in the world (The French Laundry) as her first restaurant job and has since been catching up to reality.


My life is bi-coastal: running my company, Village (NYC) and helping my family operate our olive ranch (CA).

I’m on this planet to create space for people to feel loved and seen, through food and hospitality.

I forage and farm to find the most spectacular, sometimes bizarre, products of the “edible wild” that will expand people’s palettes, diversifying diets, leading us to a more sustainable food system.

It began in a postage stamp backyard,

set the Village of NYC. An excuse to bring our friends together and get up to some shenanigans, the curious feast turned into a movement.

An experience that would seem unimaginably anxiety-provoking to some: phone-less, alcohol-less, strangers, communal table, and plant-based food, was a hit. It was a concoction that led to deep human connection, culinary exploration and pure joy.

We were hooked, and so were our friends.

We’ve now traveled the globe, bringing this dinner series to as many folks as possible.

My Donkey Teddy

She cuddles a** first.

Set in the mountains of Sonoma, California, the Kirn Family Ranch is home to rescue miniature animals, tediously cared for by the humans of the ranch and provide no labor; they are pampered day and night.

Our family follows organic and biodynamic practices to work in harmony with the land, producing the highest quality ingredients possible, including our crowning jewel - “Lush” Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Harvested early in the season, Lush is a high-polyphenol, green finishing oil - a chef’s best friend.
